Potassium Bromosmate, K2OsBr6
Potassium Bromosmate, K2OsBr6, is obtained by double decomposition of the sodium salt with potassium bromide, as a brownish black crystalline powder of coppery hue. From dilute solution octahedral crystals are obtainable. They are brownish black in colour, opaque, and metallic in appearance. The salt is difficultly soluble in water.
