Osmyl Tetra-ammine Hydroxide, OsO2(NH3)4(OH)2

Osmyl Tetra-ammine Hydroxide, OsO2(NH3)4(OH)2, is obtained by double decomposition of its sulphate with barium hydroxide, or of its chloride with moist silver oxide. The solution is not stable, and on concentration ammonia is evolved.
