Sodium Osminitrite, Na2Os(NO2)5
Sodium Osminitrite, Na2Os(NO2)5.2H2O, may be obtained advantageously by double decomposition with the silver or barium salt. Its crystals are a little more soluble in water than those of the potassium salt, and are possessed of an orange-yellow colour.
